Thank you so much!

We have had a wonderful weekend staying in your wonderful cabin, we weren't expecting so much from such a quaint and lovely place! The finishing touches and hospitality were absolutely outstanding, we will be recommending it to everyone who wants an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Waking up and looking out to your beautiful horses always put a smile on our faces, we love them! Thank you so much again.

Our farm dog at The Goose Lodge

Thank you for a lovely stay! We came here for a mini DIY retreat and your cabin was the perfect setting. We absolutely loved the horses and the mischievious pony 'Jas' - not forgetting the geese, chickens and guard dog.

The extra touches were really lovely, we loved our goose eggs, thank you.

And thank you to Paula for my AMAZING tribe massage. I can't recommend her enough, it really was just what I needed!

Looking forward to another visit in the future.

What an absolute gem of a place. An incredible find.

Literally on the doorstep of Castles, historic towns, marinas, pubs and other nice little eateries and main attractions such as Chester Zoo and Oulton Park.

The images, description and location sold it as the perfect escape, but it blew our expectations out the water on arrival.

Communication from Paula was second to none, she couldn't be more helpful to answer our questions and ensure we had everything we could possibly need to not only book but plan our trip away.

When we arrived we were greeted by Paula opening the gates to their beautiful countryside location. The house looked stunning and there were chickens, ducks, geese and horses around the gravel driveway just inviting us to come in and enjoy. All so beautifully kept, you could see the hard work and pride Paula and Mick had put in from the moment we arrived.

The lodge facing nothing but open countryside views had a fantastically laid out seating area with bark flooring, hanging lights and a fire pit - very soon we found out that wood was available with fire lighters if we wished to use it.

We were invited into The Goose Lodge where we were blown away by the level of finish that had been achieved. The size and layout of the lodge is fantastic and the finer details just blew us away. Nothing had been left to chance, from the extra blankets laid, high quality toiletries, plus little nods to the natural setting we were in. Learning Mick and Paula had built this, made us appreciate the little things about the lodge even more.

We had fresh milk, chicken eggs and a goose egg, plus two jars of jam to help ourselves to, as well as tea and sugar in lovely jars. If that wasn't enough a fabulous coffee pod machine.

Honestly we didn't need to bring anything with us from a day to day point of view with all the kitchen and bathroom essentials being laid out and perfectly executed.  Not expected but additional modern day norms were available too with full wi-fi. Although we enjoyed the radio most mornings, while enjoying the landscape from either the window seating area or alfresco.

You can tell so much time and effort had been put into the whole place and this was only made better by how kind and engaging both Paula and Mick were during our stay. It was intimate, private and personal but Paula and Mick were available should we need anything.

We really hope that everyone can take an opportunity to visit and thoroughly enjoy it how we did - we can't thank Paula and Mick enough for such an incredible experience. It's just what the doctor ordered!
